NORTHEAST-10 RELEASE

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Jill Piacitelli (East Greenwich, R.I.) of the Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Piacitelli backstopped the Penmen to a pair of victories over Saint Thomas Aquinas College and Dowling College to open the season. She recorded the first shutout in program history on Sunday after stopping seven shots in a 6-0 win against the Spartans. Piacitelli followed that performance with another clean sheet on Monday, as she turned aside nine shots in a 1-0 triumph over the Golden Lions.

Southern New Hampshire resumes play on Tuesday when it hosts Saint Michael's College in a non-conference matchup at 2 p.m.
