Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 295 (2nd/10)
Sophomore Etienne Bourgoin (Abington, Mass.) and senior John Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) each carded an even-par 72 as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team placed second at the opening round of the Northeast-10 Championship on Sunday at Olde Kinderhook Golf Club.
Bourgoin and Clancy's even-par rounds have them tied for fourth overall.
Freshman Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) is tied for 14th with a 75, while junior Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) shot a 76 to finish in a tie for 19th.
Sophomore Gavin Dugas (Pittsfield, Maine) did not factor in the team score after tying for 29th with a 79.
Notes:
-Le Moyne College leads the pack with a 290 – five strokes ahead of the Penmen.
-The College of Saint Rose's Corey Purcell leads the field of individuals after firing a 3-under 69.
-The Northeast-10 Championship, hosted by Saint Rose, is comprised of 10 institutions and 50 student-athletes.
