Sophomores Ricardo Marreiros (Portugal) and Miguel Marreiros (Portugal) each earned a pair of victories, but the Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team fell to Keiser University, 6-3, on Tuesday.
Ricardo Marreiros won a grueling match at No. 1 singles against Nicolas Guerschanik, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4, while Miguel Marreiros was a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 winner at No. 2 singles against Martin Martins.
The duo also teamed up for an 8-6 No. 1 doubles victory against Martins and Luis Sanchez.
The Seahawks breezed to singles wins at Nos. 3, 5 and 6 to open the match before graduate student Tiago Fernandes (Porto, Portugal) made it close, but lost to Arthur Bonnaud, 6-0, 3-6, 6-3, at No 4 singles.
With the Marreiros' singles wins, the Penmen staved off elimination and made it 4-2, but Keiser was triumphant in doubles No. 2 and 3 to seal the win.

-Keiser is ranked sixth in the NAIA National Coaches Poll.
