Freshman Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) is tied for sixth overall at 2-over after shooting a 74 Sunday at the opening round of Le Moyne College's Mike Bello Spring Invitational at Timber Banks Golf Club. The Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team is currently in fourth place at the 15-team event.
The Penmen are 16-over at 304, just nine shots back of Concordia (N.Y.) College, which sits in first following 18 holes Sunday.
Paradis' 74 was supported by a 75 from senior Jake Nutter (Bedford, N.H.), who is tied for 11th place with his 3-over.
Sophomore Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) carded a 77 to finish tied for 22nd after day one, while freshman Gavin Dugas (Pittsfield, Maine) is currently tied for 33rd place after shooting a 78.
Junior John Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) rounded out the Penmen scorers with an 82 that is good for 61st.
