Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 297 (T-1^st/9)

Sophomore Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) shot a 1-over 72 in the opening round of Post University's Eagle Invitational, as men's golf is tied for first, overall, following Monday's play at the Watertown Golf Club.

Paradis is in third place, just two shots off the lead.

Sophomore Ryan Anderson (Beverly, Mass.) is tied for fourth after firing a 2-over 73.

Junior Sam Riemer (Canton, Mass.) is tied for seventh after carding a 75, while junior Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) rounded out the Penmen scorers with a 77 that has him tied for 16^th.

Sophomore Drew Kane (Scarborough, Maine) did not factor in the team scoring, but is tied for 20^th with a 78.

Sophomore Jacob Rosen (Johnston, R.I.) and junior Etienne Bourgoin (Abington, Mass.) played as individuals, shooting an 80 and 81, respectively. 

Notes:
- Southern New Hampshire is tied with host Post with a 297, which is five shots ahead of second-place Le Moyne College.
- Post's Michael Erickson is atop the individual leaderboard with a 1-under 70 – one stroke better than Saint Thomas Aquinas College's Hamish Houston.
- Paradis collected one of six eagles on the course Monday, while his four birdies were the second most in round one.
- The Eagle Invitational is comprised of 55 student-athletes from nine institutions.
