Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 967 (16th/16)
Sophomore Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) shot a 78 on the final day of the Newberry Invitational as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team finished 16th on Tuesday at the Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, S.C.
Paradis, who opened with a 75 in round one, shot a 77 in round two to total a 230 that tied him for 33rd.
Senior John Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) added an 80 to his first-round 78 and second-round 73 to tie for 38th with a 231.
Junior Sam Riemer (Canton, Mass.) completed his first tournament as a Penmen with a 243, shooting an 82 to go along with his first two rounds of 81 and 80, respectively.
Sophomore Etienne Bourgoin (Abington, Mass.) rounded out the Southern New Hampshire scorers with an 87 – his second best score of the tournament. Bourgoin started with a 92 before shooting 85 in the second round for a total of 264.
Junior Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) carded a 99 in the final round for a 276 after shooting a 91 to open the tournament and following with an 86.
Notes:
-The second round, which was suspended due to darkness Monday, resumed Tuesday morning prior to the start of the final round.
-Host Newberry College won the tournament with an 873.
-Newberry's Spencer Skiff was the individual medalist with a 208 as he shot a tournament-best 65 Tuesday.
-The Newberry Invitational was comprised of 16 institutions and 81 student-athletes.
