Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 305 (2^nd/11) 

Sophomore Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) fired a 2-under 70 to tie for the individual lead Monday as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team is second, overall, following the opening round of the Barton Intercollegiate at Wilson Country Club.

Paradis' 70 is tied with Nolan Mills of the North Carolina State University "B" team and is two strokes better than Barton College's Justin Plane, who shot an even round of 72. 

Junior Sam Riemer (Canton, Mass.) carded a 75 to finish tied for fourth.

Senior John Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) and junior Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) shot 79 and 81, respectively, while sophomore Etienne Bourgoin (Abington, Mass.) rounded out the Southern New Hampshire scorers with an 85 that did not factor in the team score. 

Notes:
-Freshman Drew Kane (Scarborough, Maine) played as an individual and recorded an 84.
-The first nine holes of the second round were completed. The remainder of the second round, along with the entire third and final round, will be finished Tuesday.
-Host Barton is in first place with a 299 – six strokes ahead of SNHU.
-The Barton Intercollegiate is comprised of 12 institutions and 71 student-athletes.
