Notes: Southern New Hampshire returns to Larkin Field just over a week removed from a 9-8 setback in its home opener against seventh-ranked Adelphi University. After trailing 7-3 at the half, the Penmen clamped down defensively, scoring the only two goals of the third quarter and eventually tying the game late in the fourth. Senior Daniel Trainor (Billerica, Mass.) scored twice in the final 10 minutes, going five-hole to get the Penmen within two, and then taking a feed from senior Will Thompson (Southington, Conn.) to cut the deficit to one. The tying tally came with 1:40 to play, as junior Devin Calkins (Bow, N.H.) drew multiple defenders before passing it out to a wide-open Joseph Mayernik (Pearl River, N.Y.) for the equalizer. The Panthers escaped Manchester with the victory after potting the game-winner seven seconds later.

Sophomore midfielder Josh Slowinski (Williamsville, N.Y.) scored the game winner with just one second left in the second overtime period. In addition to his game-winning goal, Slowinski had a pair of assists, and scored another goal in the second quarter to stave off a Merrimack rally. Le Moyne was led on offense by junior attackman Justin Kesselring (Fairport, N.Y.) who tallied four total goals on the day. In goal, junior Jack Sweeney (Syracuse, N.Y.) registered 14 total saves and his sixth victory of the season.
