Paradis Ties for Fifth as Men's Golf Finishes 18th at NCAA Regional

Sophomore Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) carded a final-round, 1-over 73 to finish in a tie for fifth, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team closed out the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional in 18th place Wednesday at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, W.Va. 

Paradis led the Penmen for the second day, following his even-par 72 Monday. He also shot 75 Tuesday to total a four-over 220 for the tournament.

Junior Sam Riemer (Canton, Mass.), who turned in the third best score of the second round with a one-under 71, match Monday's 80 for a three-day total of 231. 

Senior John Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) also scored an 80 Wednesday after respective first- and second-round scores of 79 and 78. He shot 237 for the tourney.

Junior Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) submitted his best performance of the week with an 81, as he totaled a 252. 

Notes:
- Freshman Garret Olivar (Manchester, N.H.) did not factor in the team scoring, but filled in his lowest total of the week on the scorecard with an 81 that left him at 253 for the three rounds.
- Dominican (N.Y.) College captured the tournament with an 899, which was just one stroke ahead of Saint Thomas Aquinas College, which also qualified for the NCAA National Championship. The University of Charleston (903) and Le Moyne College (904) also did enough to punch their tickets.
- Le Moyne's John Clare earned individual medalist honors with a three-under 69 for a three-round total of one-under 215. Mercyhurst University's Chris Kupniewski was second and qualified as an individual with an even-par 216, with Millersville University's Connor Sheehan also earning a bid by finishing third with a 1-over 217.
- The NCAA Atlantic/East Regional was comprised of 20 institutions and 107 student-athletes.
