Riemer Shoots 71 on Day 2; Men's Golf in 17th at NCAA Regional

Southern New Hampshire University – 625 (17th/20) 

Junior Sam Riemer (Canton, Mass.) shot a second-round, 1-under 71 Tuesday, but the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team is in 17th place at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional with one round remaining at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, W.Va.

Riemer recovered from his first-round 80 with the third best score of the day and the fourth best round of the tournament, to date. Riemer is currently tied for 23rd with his 151. 

Sophomore Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.), after leading the Penmen with an even-par 72 Monday, turned in a 3-over 75 in round two to total a 147 that has him tied for fifth.

Senior John Clancy (Sandwich, Mass.) improved on his first-round score with a 78 Tuesday for a two-day total of 157.

Junior Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) paired Monday's 85 with an 86 for a total of 171. 

Notes:
- Freshman Garret Olivar (Manchester, N.H.), who shot an 87 in the first round, again did not factor in the team scoring, but improved by two strokes for an 85.
- Saint Thomas Aquinas College is in first place after day two with a 597, which is just one stroke ahead of Dominican (N.Y.) College.
- Mercyhurst University's Chris Kupniewski is atop the individual leaderboard with a 142.
- The NCAA Atlantic/East Regional is comprised of 20 institutions and 107 student-athletes.
