Sophomores Drew Kane (Scarborough, Maine) and Garret Olivar (Manchester, N.H.) shared individual medalist honors Thursday as they both shot even-par 70 to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team to a 286-304 victory over Saint Anselm College at Lake Sunapee Country Club.
Kane and Olivar each recorded one of the two SNHU eagles on the day to aid in grabbing a share of the lead.
Fellow sophomore Jacob Rosen (Johnston, R.I.) checked in third with a 72, while juniors Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) and Sam Riemer (Canton, Mass.) both tied for fourth with a 74.
Notes:
-Juniors Austin Baker (Litchfield, N.H.) and Tyler Silver (Lebanon, N.H.), while not factoring in the scoring for the Penmen, each shot a respectable 75.
-LaCasse tied for the most birdies on the afternoon with four, matching senior Ben Scott (Lexington, Mass.), who finished tied for 10th with a 76.
