Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 277 (2^nd/14) 

Junior Tyler Silver (Lebanon, N.H.) fired a 3-under 66 to sit atop the leaderboard after the opening round of the Penmen Fall Invitational on Monday, leading men's golf to a second-place finish at the Hanover Country Club.

Silver holds a one-shot lead on a pair of golfers that are tied for second with a 2-under 67. 

Sophomore Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) is in a five-way tie for third following his 1-under 68. 

Junior Sam Riemer (Canton, Mass.) is tied for 19^th after carding a 2-over 71, with fellow junior Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) and sophomore Ryan Anderson (Beverly, Mass.) each submitting a 72 to tie for 30^th. 

The remainder of the Penmen squad played as individuals, with sophomore Garret Olivar (Manchester, N.H.) and Drew Kane (Scarborough, Maine) leading the pack with a 2-over 71 that has them tied with Riemer. 

Junior Etienne Bourgoin (Abington, Mass.) and sophomore Jacob Rosen (Johnston, R.I.) are tied with 73s, while senior Ben Scott (Lexington, Mass.) totaled a 75. 

Junior Tyler Cole (Bow, N.H.), sophomore James Trainor (Hudson, Mass.) and freshman Jacob Cole (Hillsborough, N.H.), all turned in a 76, with junior Austin Baker (Litchfield, N.H.) counting up an 83. 

Notes:
- Southern New Hampshire's 1-over 277 is one stroke behind Post University's opening-round even-par 276.
- Silver led the way with a round-high five birdies, while also submitting the lowest score on the course's four par-3 holes at 2-under.
- The Penmen Fall Invitational is comprised of 81 student-athletes from 14 institutions.
