Senior Miguel Marreiros (Portimao, Portugal) saw his run come to end just before the quarterfinals with a 6-2, 6-1 loss to Concordia (N.Y.) College's Eymeric Chevalier.
Graduate student Xavier Aubron (Herouville, France) and sophomore Bas van Biezen (Sassenheim, Netherlands) made things interesting in the doubles bracket as they notched an 8-3 quarterfinal win against ninth-seeded Blythe and Hallam Doney of Le Moyne before getting edged, 8-6, in the semifinal round by second-seeded Rok Bozic and Diego Pinto of the University of the District of Columbia.
