NORTHEAST-10 RELEASE
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Freshman Emily Campbell (Raynham, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team was named the Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week for the period ending Sept. 30, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Campbell scored the first two goals of her career, as the Penmen won their lone game of the week, 4-0, against Adelphi University on Saturday. Campbell scored twice in a six-and-a-half-minute span between the 23rd and 29th minutes to take the score from 1-0 to 3-0.
Campbell has tallied six points on two goals and two assists through five games.
Campbell and the Penmen are back in action Saturday (Oct. 6) when they take on Long Island University-LIU Post at noon. The next home game for SNHU is Wednesday, Oct. 17 (6 p.m.) when it plays host to American International College.
