Notes: The Penmen head into the 2018 campaign season looking for their fourth trip to the Northeast-10 Conference title game in five seasons. Southern New Hampshire fell just short of the NE10 final in 2017, as it turned in a 27-20 campaign that came to a close in the semifinal round of the Northeast-10 Championship. The Penmen return 10 letterwinners from a season ago, including a pair of All-Conference selections in junior Erin Garczynski (Norwood, Mass.), a First Team choice, and senior Sarah Lavallee (Candia, N.H.), a Third Team honoree. Garczynski was one of the top offensive threats in the region in 2017, as she hit .431 (66-153) with seven home runs, 46 RBI and 29 runs scored. The backstop also compiled a .627 slugging percentage and generated a .461 on-base percentage. Lavallee was a dual threat for Southern New Hampshire, as she picked up four wins in the circle and smacked a team-high eight home runs. The Penmen kick off their 2018 season Friday (February 16) with a doubleheader against Mercyhurst University and Felician University in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The first home game for Southern New Hampshire is Tuesday, March 27 at 4 p.m. against Saint Michael's College.
