Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 636 (19th/19)
Junior Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) fired a 2-under 70 in the second round to finish the first day of the Newberry College Invitational with a 4-over 148, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team checked in 19th following Monday's opening day of play at the Ocean Course in its first match of the spring.
Paradis opened Monday's first round with a 78 and sits tied for 34th following the initial 36 holes.
Junior Sam Riemer (Canton, Mass.) bettered his opening-round 82 by three strokes to total a 161 through two rounds. Classmate Tyler Silver (Lebanon, N.H.) is not far behind with a 163, shooting a 79 in the first round – SNHU's second best score of the round – before coming back in the second with an 84. Sophomore Garret Olivar (Manchester, N.H.) is just one stroke back of Silver after matching rounds of 82.
Senior Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.), who did not factor in the team scoring, finished with a 178 (93/85).
Notes:
- Columbus State University leads through the first two rounds with a 6-under 570, which is five strokes better than the University of South Carolina Aiken
- Columbus State's Jordan Doull is in first place with a 9-under 135 - four shots better than USC-Aiken's Axel Ostensson.
- The Newberry College Invitational is comprised of 96 student-athletes from 19 institutions.
