The Penmen posted a 7-2 win in game one and rolled to a 7-1 victory in the second game.
Lavallee went 3-for-8 with a home run, six RBI and two runs scored in the twinbill. Senior Brittany Perdigao (Stoughton, Mass.) was 5-for-8 with an RBI and four runs scored. Sophomore Jordan Wade (E. Southern New Hampshire jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Lavallee singled home Perdigao, who reached on a bunt single.
The Penmen extended the lead with a four-spot in the third. Wade began the frame with a double to left and moved to third on an infield single by Perdigao, who then swiped second to put a pair in scoring position. Garczynski followed by reaching on an error, with both runs scoring to make it a three-run game. Freshman Shay Sauvageau (Griswold, Conn.) scored Garczynski with a single up the middle two batters later, while fellow freshman Emily Critch (Halifax, Mass.) pushed the lead to 5-0 with a double to left.
Molloy grabbed a pair back in the fifth on a two-run double by Alex Russo, but a two-out, two-run single from Lavallee in the sixth claimed the two runs back and put the Penmen up, 7-2.
Sophomore Maddy Barone (Halifax, Mass.) went the distance to improve to 7-0, as she allowed two runs on five hits, while striking out two and a walking a pair.
Perdigao was 3-for-4 with three runs scored, while Lavallee knocked in three runs and went 2-for-4. Critch finished 2-for-3, with Wade (walk, two runs) and senior Katie Horiuchi (Livingston, N.J.) each going 1-for-3.
SNHU ran out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning of game two, as Wade led off the game with a triple to right and scored on Perdigao's single through the right side to make it 1-0. After Garczynski beat out an infield single, Lavallee crushed a three-run homer to right to stretch the lead to 4-0.
Molloy answered with a run in the bottom of the second off freshman starter Ali Atherton (Milford, Mass.), as Russo doubled home a run, but the Penmen responded with two unearned runs in the top of the third by taking advantage of a pair of errors.
An RBI single by Garczynski, following singles from Wade and Perdigao, capped the scoring.
In her first career start, Atherton gave up a run on three hits and two walks, while striking out a batter in an inning-and-a-third. Lavallee (8-1) tossed five-and-two-thirds innings of shutout relief, allowing five hits, while striking out two and walking a pair.
