Paradis Wins Fourth Medalist Honor of Season; Men's Golf Finishes Third at Mike Bello Invitational

Junior Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) carded a 2-over 73 to win individual medalist honors at the Le Moyne College Mike Bello Spring Invitational on Friday, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team finished third, overall, at Bellevue Country Club. 

After turning in the tournament's top score with a 1-under 70 Thursday, Paradis submitted the second best score of Friday's final round to defeat runner-up Robert Libiszewski of American International College by four strokes. 

Junior Sam Riemer (Canton, Mass.) bettered his score from the first round by one shot with a 74, which gave him a 149 for the tournament to place him sixth, overall. Sophomore Ryan Anderson (Beverly, Mass.) tied for 14th with a 154, as he penciled in a 79, following Thursday's 75. 

Senior Joshua LaCasse (Bow, N.H.) improved on his opening-round number by six shots with an 85, as he totaled a 176. Junior Tyler Silver (Lebanon, N.H.), who did not factor in the team scoring, finished the day with an 88 to total a 168. 

Playing as an individual, sophomore Jacob Rosen (Johnston, R.I.) turned in the best score of the day with a 1-over 72, which shaved 14 strokes off his first-round score, as he tied for 31st with a 158. Junior Etienne Bourgoin (Abington, Mass.; 76-80=156), and sophomores Jeremy Duhamel (Manchester, N.H.; 77-79=156) and Garret Olivar (Manchester, N.H.; 78-79=157) rounded out the remainder of the Penmen individuals. 

Notes:
- Roberts Wesleyan College won the tournament with a 598 to defeat Dominican (N.Y.) College by 12 strokes.
- Paradis made a tournament-high seven birdies to capture his fourth individual medalist honor of the season.
- The Mike Bello Spring Invitational was comprised of 83 student-athletes from 15 institutions.
