Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 301 (T-11^th/20) 

Sophomore Garret Olivar (Manchester, N.H.) shot an even-par 72 at the opening round of the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional on Monday, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team finished in a tie for 11^th at The Resort at Glade Springs. 

Olivar is tied for 10^th through the first 18 holes. 

Junior Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) is one shot behind Olivar with a one-over 73 that has him tied for 17^th. 

Fellow junior Sam Riemer (Canton, Mass.) is tied for 51^st after shooting a four-over 76. Sophomore Jacob Rosen (Johnston, R.I.) rounded out the Penmen scorers with an 80. 

Sophomore Ryan Anderson (Beverly, Mass.) did not factor into the scoring with an 81. 

Notes:
- St. Thomas Aquinas College is in first place with a 2-over 290, which is one stroke better than the three teams that are log-jammed in a second-place tie.
- Mercyhurst University's Harison Laskey and Wilmington (Del.) University's Ryan Rucinski are the individual leaders, having each fired a 3-under 69 to hold a one-shot lead on a pack of five golfers tied for second.
- The NCAA Atlantic/East Regional is comprised of 20 institutions and 108 student-athletes.
