NORTHEAST-10 RELEASE

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Senior Ashley Elder (Bristol, Conn.) was named the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, as the league announced its weekly award winners.

Elder continued a terrific winter season with her fifth consecutive shot put win at the Smith Pioneer Invitational Saturday in Northampton, Mass.  Elder's toss of 14.83m (48' 8") was a personal best and new program record.  She added a fourth place finish in the weight throw 15.28m (50' 1.75"), also a personal best and a new program record.

The Penmen have two meets on the schedule in the coming week.  On Friday, January 25, SNHU will take part in the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic.  Then on Saturday, January 26, the Penmen will participate in a meet at Southern Maine University.
