Two SNHU Track Records Set Friday At Boston University

When and Where: January 25, 2019 – BU John Thomas Terrier Classic (BU Track & Tennis Center)

Four personal best marks, including two new program records,  were set by SNHU Track & Field team members competing at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic on Friday.

HIGHLIGHTS: 

Three of the marks were set in the 400m race.  Freshman Zeandrea Ward (Hartford, Conn.) was the top performer, with a new program record 58.66.  In a field of 113 runners including many Division I athletes, Ward came in 38th place.  Freshman Meghan Stroh (New Fairfield, Conn.) also set new personal best at 1:00.78.  Sophomore Megan Decker (Durham, Conn.) also ran her best mark to date at 1:02.22.

SNHU's other new program mark was set by sophomore Maura Coakley (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.).  Competing in the 3000m race, Coakley ran a 10:34.74.  

Senior Ashley Elder (Bristol, Conn.) competed in the shot put, turning in an eighth-place throw at 13.22m (43' 4.50").  

 

What's Next:
The Penmen will compete tomorrow (Saturday) in a meet at Southern Maine University.
