MEET SCHEDULE |LIVE STATS
When and Where: April 6, 2019 – Penmen Stadium
The Southern New Hampshire University women's track and field team hosts the first of three meets at its Penmen Stadium with the Spring Invitational on Saturday. The six-school meet starts at 10 a.m.
The Penmen are coming off a meet victory at UMass Dartmouth's Corsair Classic last Saturday. Senior Ashley Elder (Bristol, Conn.) turned in a pair of wins in the discus and hammer throw and earned Northeast-10 Field Athlete of the Week. Sophomore Megan Decker (Durham, Conn.) turned in a pair of individual wins in the 100m and 200m and ran a leg of the winning 4x400 relay squad.
SNHU will welcome teams from Franklin Pierce University, Plymouth State University, Colby-Sawyer College, Saint Anselm College, and Merrimack College for the Spring Invitational. The event is being held for the first time - last year's scheduled meet was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Since men's and women's teams will be competing, SNHU's mens cross country runners will have an opportunity to participate in out of season activity.
This is the first of two consecutive meets at Penmen Stadium. SNHU will host the 2nd annual Penmen Relays on Saturday, April 13. In addition, SNHU will host the NE10 Championships on May 3-4, 2019.
