MANSFIELD, Mass. – Freshman Jared Mscisz (Danvers, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team was chosen as the Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week for the period ending Sept. 10, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
In his first collegiate tournament, Mscisz carded a 1-over 145 to tie for third, as SNHU claimed the runner-up position at the Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational. Mscisz began the tourney with a 73 in the opening round, before firing an even-par 72 to close it out.
Mscisz and the Penmen return to action Sept. 23-24 when they host the Penmen Fall Invitational at Canterbury Woods Country Club in Canterbury, N.H.
