Freshman Jared Mscisz (Danvers, Mass.) fired a 1-under 71 and followed it up with an even-par 72, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team placed sixth following Monday's first two rounds of the Penmen Fall Invitational at Canterbury Woods Country Club.

INDIVIDUAL SCORERS

• Mscisz is seven shots off the pace with a 1-under 143 that has him in sixth place.
• Senior Ryan Anderson (Beverly, Mass.) is tied for 14th with a 3-over 147, following a 73 in the first round and a 74 in the second.
• Sophomore Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) carded an even-par 72 in the second round, taking six shots off his first-round score, to total a 150 that has him tied forth 24th.
• Freshman Jeff Liss (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) also bettered his opening-round score by five strokes with a 1-over 73 that placed him in a tie for 33rd with a 151.

NOTES

• Senior Garret Olivar (Manchester, N.H.), who did not factor into the scoring with a 79 and a 74, in the first two rounds, respectively, is tied for 41st with a 153.
• Sophomore Brennan Hughes (Bedford, N.H.), playing as an individual, is tied for 37th with a 152 (77-75).
• Senior Jacob Rosen (Johnston, R.I.), also playing as an individual, is in 48th with a 155 (76-79).
• Laval University is in first place with a 3-under 573, 12 shots ahead of Assumption College.
• Laval's David Tweddell is atop the individual leaderboard with an 8-under 136 (69-67), which is one stroke ahead of Concordia (N.Y.) College's Minwoo Park.
• The Penmen Fall Invitational is comprised of 90 golfers from 17 institutions.
