Sophomore Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) carded an even-par 72 Tuesday at the third and final round of the Penmen Fall Invitational, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team climbed the leaderboard to finish in a third-place tie at Canterbury Woods Country Club.

INDIVIDUAL SCORERS

• Conti matched his middle-round score of 72 to finish tied for 17th with a 6-over 222.
• Freshman Jared Mscisz (Danvers, Mass.) shot a 75 to go with his respective first- and second-round scores of 71 and 72,  placing sixth with a 2-over 218.
• Freshman Jeff Liss (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) also penciled in a 75 for his second best round of the event, totaling a 226 that tied him for 28th.
• Senior Garret Olivar (Manchester, N.H.), who did not factor into the scoring in the first two rounds, also carded his second best score of the two-day event with a 75. He finished tied for 35th with a 228.

NOTES

• Senior Ryan Anderson (Beverly, Mass.) did not factor into the scoring with an 81 that left him tied for 35th with a 228.
• Senior Jacob Rosen (Johnston, R.I.), playing as an individual, matched the top round of the tournament for a Penmen with a 1-under 71 and finished tied for 28th with a 226 (76-79-71).
• Sophomore Brennan Hughes (Bedford, N.H.), also playing as an individual, tied for 43rd with a 229 (77-75-75).
• Laval University won the event with a 1-under 863, 14 shots ahead of Le Moyne College.
• Laval's David Tweddell earned individual medalist honors with a 10-under 206 (69-67-70), which was two strokes ahead of Le Moyne College's Jonathan Petrin.
• The Penmen Fall Invitational was comprised of 90 golfers from 17 institutions.

WHAT'S NEXT

• The Penmen return to action Sunday, Oct. 6 for the Northeast-10 Championship at En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott, N.Y.
