Women's Basketball Posts Nation's 16th-Highest GPA to Earn WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll Recognition

ATLANTA – The Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team ranked 16th in the 2019-20 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll, it was announced Tuesday.

The Penmen, who compiled a 3.679 grade-point average this season, are one of only two NE10 teams and three East Region squads in the Academic Top 25. The program has now owned one of the top 25 GPAs in the nation in three of the last four seasons, while the No. 16 ranking is its highest since slotting in 14th after the 2016-17 campaign.

Seton Hill University led NCAA Division II members with a 3.831 GPA.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2019-20 season is the 25th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
