SNHU Cross Country Heads To NCAA Regionals

Six Runners Earned All-Conference Awards In 2021

The SNHU Cross Country teams head to Rochester, N.Y. for Saturday's NCAA Division II East Region Championships.  The races will be held on the Matt St. James Cross Country Trails, and hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University.  On Friday, the Northeast-10 officially recognized All-Conference runners, including six from the SNHU program.

Congratulations go out to graduate students Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and Jill Couto (Newton Junction, N.H.) for earning first-team All-Conference with third and fifth place finishes at the NE10 Championships on October 24.  Junior Sarah Zarakotas (Deerfield, N.H.), sophomore Kelsey Seamans (Methuen, Mass.) and graduate student Maura Coakley (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) all earned third-team All-Conference in 2021.  The Penmen will be gunning for a top finish in the 6k race on Saturday at 12:15 p.m.  The 2019 squad ran third at the NCAA Regionals and qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships for the first time.

On the men's side, senior Jacob Logan (Norwood, Mass.) finished in 18th place to earn third-team All-Conference recognition.  The Penmen will tackle the 10k course on Saturday, with the race scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m.
