Three from SNHU Women's Cross Country Earn All-Conference

Penmen Finish Fifth at Northeast 10 Championship Sunday

The Southern New Hampshire University women's cross country team turned in a strong performance Sunday morning, finishing fifth overall at the 2025 Northeast 10 Conference Championship, hosted by Saint Anselm College.   Senior Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.), sophomore Paige McInerney (Acton, Mass.) and junior Deirdre Bailat (North Billerica, Mass.) all finished in the top-21 to earn All-Conference recognition.

KEY MOMENT

  • The Penmen compiled 100 points, placing just behind Saint Anselm (92) and ahead of Adelphi (113) and Assumption (141). Southern Connecticut captured the NE10 title with 42 points. Obernesser led the way with a standout 23:50.8 performance, placing sixth overall to earn First-Team All-Conference honors in her final NE10 race.

NOTES

  • Corrina Obernesser (Sr., Westminster, Colo.) clocked 23:50.8 to take 6th overall and earn First-Team All-Conference recognition for a second consecutive season.
  • Paige McInerney (So., Acton, Mass.) ran 24:58.8 to place 12th and earn Second-Team All-Conference honors.
  • Deirdre Bailat (Jr., Billerica, Mass.) followed closely in 25:28.7 (17th) and that was good for Third-Team All-Conference.
  • Faith Perry (Fr., Pawtucket, R.I.) ran 26:07.4 for 28th place in her NE10 debut.
  • Natalie Sicard (Jr., Nottingham, N.H.) completed the scoring in 26:43.9 (37th).
  • Courtney Henchcliffe of Southern Connecticut State won the race in 22:49.3.

  • The Penmen return to action on Saturday, November 8 for the NCAA East Regional at the Hopkinton (N.H.) Fairgrounds.
