(New Haven, Conn.) - Senior Meghan Stroh (New Fairfield, Conn.) set two indoor track program records and graduate student Olivia Coco (Bedford, N.H.) won the 600m at the Art Kadish Elm City Challenge. The Penmen finished up in second place.
TOP PERFORMERS
- Coco won the 600m in a new personal record of 1:45.45.
- Sophomore Hannah Bradbury (Seekonk, Mass.) wound up third in the 600m in 1:46.96.
- The Penmen earned second-place in four events on the day.
- Sophomore Laila Bunnitt (Lewiston, Maine) finished second in the shot put with a PR of 11.90m.
- Senior Meghan Stroh (New Fairfield, Conn.) ran second with a 58.59 in the 400m run, an SNHU program record
- Junior Sarah Zarakotas (Deerfield, N.H.) was second in the 3000m race with a 10:39.21, a personal best. Graduate student Maura Coakley (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) was third in 10:50.67.
- In the high jump, sophomore Theresa Irving (Penacook, N.H.) finished second with a 1.60 m, eclipsing the previous SNHU indoor mark for the event. Junior Madison McMahon (East Longmeadow, Mass.) jumped 1.55 to finish third in the event.
NOTES
- In addition to her program mark in the 400m, Stroh ran a 55m dash earlier in the day in 7.44 seconds, also an indoor record for the Penmen.
- Personal records were also set on Sunday by sophomore Ava Gravell (Windham, N.H.) in the long jump, and by sophomore Emma Hallet (Billerica, Mass.) in the high jump.
- With the strong showing in the high jump, SNHU (87.83) finished second at the meet to the University of New Haven (99).
