Field Hockey Posts Fifth Highest GPA in Country to Snag Seventh Straight NFHCA Academic Honor

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team was named a recipient of the 2020 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II National Academic Team Award for the seventh consecutive season Monday.

Southern New Hampshire compiled a team grade-point average of 3.71, which was fifth overall amongst all NCAA Division II field hockey programs and second in the NE10. The Division II National Team Academic Award recognizes those programs that earned a team GPA of 3.30 or higher during the fall semester of the 2020-21 academic year. A total of 33 institutions garnered the distinction, with Indiana University of Pennsylvania leading the way with a team GPA of 3.87. Slippery Rock University slotted in second with a 3.79 mark, and the top-five was rounded out with Adelphi University (3.75), West Chester University (3.72) and SNHU.
