KEY MOMENTS - GAME 1
  • The Penmen erased a 2-0 lead with four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.  Senior Shay Sauvageau (Griswold, Conn.) and senior Jackie Gavin (East Bridgewater, Mass.) each delivered two-run singles.
  • The Purple Knights connected for back-to-back homers to take the lead in the top of the seventh inning.  Hannah Arruda connected on a two-run shot and Haley Waghorn followed a homer off the top of the center-field wall to give Saint Michael's a 5-4 lead.
  • Gavin singled to start the bottom of the seventh inning and sophomore Bryn Garczynski (Norwood, Mass.) followed with a bunt single.  Senior Coralie Mathieu (Methuen, Mass.) then laid down a successful sacrifice.  A sacrifice fly by senior Chloe Griffin (Scarborough, Maine) tied the score.  Freshman Alyssa Dimauro (Chester, N.H.) then ripped a flare to right that fell in for the game-winning single.
  • Griffin came on to record the final outs in relief of senior Olivia Strasser (Rutland, Mass.) to earn the win.
