KEY MOMENTS - GAME 1
  • The first two Penmen reached on singles in the top of the first inning.  Freshman Alyssa Dimauro (Chester, N.H.) and senior Chloe Griffin (Scarborough, Maine) started the game with base hits.  Freshman Shannon Gifford (Goffstown, N.H.) lined into a double play, and the Penmen bats were mostly silent the rest of the contest.

  • SNHU did come up with a pair of two-out hits in the sixth inning without scoring, and senior Jackie Gavin (East Bridgewater, Mass.) singled in the seventh.
  • Raven freshman Samantha Sylvester improved to 5-0 with her first seven-inning complete game.
KEY MOMENTS - GAME 2
  • Franklin Pierce opened a 4-0 lead before the SNHU bats came alive to score four runs in the top of the sixth inning.
  • Dimauro opened the frame with a double, scoring on a single by Gifford.  Seniors Shay Sauvageau (Griswold, Conn.) and Coralie Mathieu (Methuen, Mass.) hit back-to-back home runs to tie the game.
  • The Ravens responded with five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 9-4 lead, three runs scored on a triple by freshman Ashley Cangiano.
  • Gifford had an RBI single in the top of the seventh inning, and senior Emily Critch (Halifax, Mass.) doubled in a run in the seventh.
