Freshman AJ Cavotta (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) drained a hole-in-one and carded a two-over 74, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team remained in 15th place after the second round of the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional on Friday at Lake View Country Club.

INDIVIDUAL SCORERS

• Cavotta betters his first-round score by six shots and is tied for 23rd with a 154.
• Junior Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) improved upon his first round by nine strokes with a 75 that gave him a two-round total of 159.
• Sophomore Jared Mscisz (Danvers, Mass.) submitted an 86 and stands at 162 through 36 holes.
• Freshman Nick Tufts (Auburn, N.H.) shaved a stroke off his opening-round performance for an 83 that has him at 167 through two rounds.

NOTES

• Redshirt-sophomore Andrew Tache (Northborough, Mass.) did not factor into the scoring with a 118 and has a two-round score of 224.
• Cavotta's ace came on the par-three 12th hole and is believed to be the first hole-in-one in program history.
• SNHU is making its 10th regional appearance, including its seventh straight.
• The top four teams and top individual not on an advancing team move on to the NCAA National Championship.
• St. Thomas Aquinas College continues to hold on to first place with a 603, which is two strokes ahead of Gannon University.
• Millersville University's Brady Erb is the individual leader after 36 holes. His 148 is one shot better than a group of four golfers that have totaled a 149.
• The NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championship is comprised of 85 golfers from 22 different institutions.
