Junior Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) turned in his best scorecard of the tournament with a 1-over 73, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team finished 12th after the final round of the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional on Saturday at Lake View Country Club.

INDIVIDUAL SCORERS

• Conti surpassed his second-round score by two shots to finish in 21st with a 232.
• Freshman AJ Cavotta (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) carded his second best round of the week with a 75. His three-round total of 229 tied him for 12th overall.
• Sophomore Jared Mscisz (Danvers, Mass.) matched his best score of the tourney with a 76, as he totaled a 238.
• Freshman Nick Tufts (Auburn, N.H.) rounded out the Penmen scorers with his second 83 of the week that had him finish with a 250.

NOTES

• Redshirt-sophomore Andrew Tache (Northborough, Mass.) did not factor into the scoring with a 99 - his best round of the tournament - and finished with a 323.
• SNHU was making its 10th regional appearance, including its seventh straight.
• Gannon University captured the title with a 912, which was three-strokes ahead of runner-up St. Thomas Aquinas College. Davis & Elkins College and Fayetteville State University rounded out the top four teams that advanced to the NCAA National Championship. Fayetteville won a playoff with Bentley University to advance.
• Bentley University's Tommy Ethier and Mercyhurst University's Jack Angelucci finished tied atop the leaderboard at 7-over 223. Ethier won individual medalist honors on a playoff hole and advanced to the NCAA National Championship as an individual.
• The NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championship was comprised of 85 golfers from 22 different institutions.
