The Southern New Hampshire women's cross country team finished 11th of 18 teams at Saturday's NEICAAA Cross County Championship in Boston. Graduate student Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) finished 9th in the race to lead the Penmen.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- Corcoran ran the 5k in 18:21.
- Also scoring for the Penmen in the race were:
- Junior Kelsey Seamans (Methuen, Mass.) with 19:14.0, good for 39th place.
- It was a 59th place finish for junior Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.), who ran a 19:38.6
- Senior Sarah Zarakotas (Deerfield, N.H.) raced to a 19:54.0 and 75th place.
- Junior Hannah Bradbury (Seekonk, Mass.) was 84th in 20:03.9.
NOTES
- SNHU was the top Div. II finisher in the race, which was won by Quinnipiac Univ. (26). Central Connecticut State (115) and Northeastern (116) were next.
- Holy Cross senior Eve Feuerbach (17:53) was the race winner. Quinnipiac had five of the first eight finishers in the women's race including second place runner Emily Young.
