MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University women's cross country team has been predicted to finish first overall at Sunday's Northeast-10 Conference Cross Country Championships at Saint Michael's College. The Penmen amassed 153 points by a vote of the NE10 women's cross country coaches. The results of the polling were announced Thursday.
The Penmen received 11 first-place votes and defending champion American International College received the other two first-place votes. Behind SNHU in the poll are Southern Connecticut State University (113), Saint Anselm College (111), Adelphi University (104) and AIC (103).
Graduate student
Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) has again led the talented Penmen squad this season. Corcoran is coming off a win at the Adelphi Short Course Showdown and finished third at the Northeast-10 Women's Cross Country Championships last year. USTFCCCA has ranked the Penmen as the top team in the East Region through the 2022 season.
