SNHU Women's Track & Field Competes At New England Championships

Two-Day Meet Kicked Off Friday

When and Where: February 4, 2022- NEICAAA New England Championships- Reggie Lewis Athletic Center (Boston, Mass.)
Results:  T-11/17 (6 points)
(Boston, Mass.) -  SNHU opened competition at the New England Championships on Friday with a third-place finish in the Distance Medley Relay (DMR).  

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The DMR team of sophomore Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.), senior Meghan Stroh (New Fairfield, Conn.), sophomore Riley McDermott (Kennebunkport, Maine), and graduate student Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) turned in a third-place finish to Div. 1 programs Quinnipiac and UMass/Amherst.
  • The Penmen ran the race in 12:26.92 and finished ahead of five other teams.
  • Stroh and Corcoran were members of the DMR team that established the program record of 12:08.22 at this meet two years ago.
  • Stroh also qualified for the 400m final with a fourth-place finish in 58.99 seconds.  
NOTES
  • The NEICAAA competition resumes on Saturday morning.
  • The NE10 will crown its champions at the Reggie Lewis Center on February 24-25.
