(Boston, Mass.) - SNHU opened competition at the New England Championships on Friday with a third-place finish in the Distance Medley Relay (DMR).
HIGHLIGHTS
- The DMR team of sophomore Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.), senior Meghan Stroh (New Fairfield, Conn.), sophomore Riley McDermott (Kennebunkport, Maine), and graduate student Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) turned in a third-place finish to Div. 1 programs Quinnipiac and UMass/Amherst.
- The Penmen ran the race in 12:26.92 and finished ahead of five other teams.
- Stroh and Corcoran were members of the DMR team that established the program record of 12:08.22 at this meet two years ago.
- Stroh also qualified for the 400m final with a fourth-place finish in 58.99 seconds.
NOTES
- The NEICAAA competition resumes on Saturday morning.
- The NE10 will crown its champions at the Reggie Lewis Center on February 24-25.
