MANSFIELD, Mass. - Graduate student Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) has been named Northeast-10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Corcoran, who won the award twice during the indoor portion of the schedule, has now been named Track Athlete of the Week for three consecutive weeks during the outdoor season.
Last Friday, at the UConn Northeast Challenge, Corcoran won the 3000m Steeplechase in a personal/program record 10:23.96. Her time is third best in the nation and just four seconds out of second.
In the April 18 poll, released Tuesday by the USTFCCCA, Southern New Hampshire remained in the number one spot in the East Region, ahead of American International College.
Up next - the Penmen will be taking part in the George Davis Invitational Saturday at UMass-Lowell.
