(Smithfield, R.I.) -Graduate student Ashley Corcoran (East Longmeadow, Mass.) won the 3,000m Steeplechase at the New England Championships on Saturday.
- Corcoran won her fourth consecutive 3000m Steeplechase during this outdoor season. She won the race with a time of 10:37.30.
- Sophomore Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.) ran a new PR in the race, finishing fifth with 11:13.93.
- Graduate student Maura Coakley (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) ran to a 15th place finish.
- Graduate student Jill Couto (Newton Junction, N.H.) had a 2:16.95 in the 800m
- Sophomore Laila Bunnitt (S. Portland, Maine) went 10.86m (24th) in the shot put and 37.26m in the discus (22nd).
UP NEXT
- The NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held May 26-28 in Allendale, Michigan. Grand Valley State University will host the event. Corcoran will represent the Penmen while the season has now ended for the remainder of the team.
