NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse team was recognized for its work in the classroom Wednesday by being named an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad.
The Penmen were one of 398 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA, including 62 from DII, to qualify for the honor for posting a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher for the 2021-22 academic year.
Additionally, four members of the team received IWLCA Academic Honor Roll accolades for being a junior, senior or graduate student with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater. Senior
Erin Gorton (Kennebunk, Maine) and juniors
Courtney Cronin (Woburn, Mass.),
Skylar Renaud (E. Waterboro, Maine) and
Sydney Todd (Pelham, N.H.) were four of 517 DII student-athletes to capture the recognition.
