Hadden's First Team Selection Highlights Five All-Conference Nods for Women's Lacrosse

Hadden is the fourth member of the program to earn First Team in consecutive years

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Graduate student Katelyn Hadden (Newburyport, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse team was named to the NE10 All-Conference First Team, as one of five Penmen to earn All-Conference honors when the league office announced its end-of-the-year accolades Tuesday.

Hadden joins Libby Parent (2007-08), Julie Kraus (2008-09) and Emily Mongeau (2011-12) as the only members of the program to receive NE10 All-Conference honors in back-to-back seasons. Hadden started all 17 games this season, notching 94 points on 49 goals and 45 assists, while adding 61 draw controls, 31 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers. She led the NE10 in points, while ranking second in assists, sixth in goals, eighth in draw controls and 12th in ground balls. Hadden's 94 points and 45 assists are second on SNHU's single-season list.

Grad student Skylar Pietz (Dudley, Mass.), who started all 17 games this season, earned a spot on the NE10 All-Conference Third Team. Pietz led the team with 24 caused turnovers and 32 ground balls, ranking sixth and 11th, respectively, in the NE10. Pietz, the April 28 NE10 Defensive Player of the Week, also ranked fourth on the team in goals (24) and points (28).

Sophomore Mazie Burt (Waterford, Vt.), and freshmen Sabrina Redding (Forked River, N.J.) and Corrina Moulton (Barre, Vt.) all claimed spots on the NE10 All-Rookie Team. Burt placed fifth on the team with 16 points on 15 goals and an assist, as she played in all 17 contests.

Redding, the March 31 and April 21 NE10 Rookie of the Week, tied for second on the team with 39 points on 27 goals and 12 assists, as she started 16 of 17 games.

Moulton, who started eight of the 13 games she played in net for the Penmen, stopped 86 of 212 shots over 503:07 for a 15.03 goals-against average and .406 save percentage. Her 6.62 saves per game were the eighth most in the league.

The Penmen (7-10, 3-7 NE10) qualified for the NE10 Championship for a fourth consecutive season, but suffered a quarterfinal loss at ninth-ranked and top-seeded Pace University to end their season.
