NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse team was recognized for its excellence in the classroom on Wednesday, earning Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Academic Honor Squad distinction for the fifth consecutive season.
The Penmen were one of 376 schools across Divisions I, II, III, and the NAIA — including 72 from Division II — to earn the honor, which is awarded to teams that posted a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher during the 2024–25 academic year. SNHU has now received this recognition nine times since 2014.
In addition, six members of the team were named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes juniors, seniors, and graduate students with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Graduate students Katelyn Hadden (Newburyport, Mass.), Skylar Pietz (Dudley, Mass.), and Layne Walther (Center Moriches, N.Y.), along with senior Brooke Deily (Doylestown, Pa.), each earned the honor for a fourth consecutive year. Also receiving the distinction were senior Sierra Kimball (Amherst, N.H.) and junior Delaney Ramalho (Hollis, N.H.). A total of 588 Division II student-athletes were named to the Honor Roll.
