NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Graduate student Katelyn Hadden (Newburyport, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse team was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) East All-Region Second Team on Wednesday.
Hadden, who was an IWLCA East All-Region First Team choice last season, is the sixth player in program history to garner All-Region accolades in back-to-back years. Hadden became just the fourth member of the program to receive NE10 All-Conference First Team honors in back-to-back seasons last month, as she started all 17 games, notching 94 points on 49 goals and 45 assists, while adding 61 draw controls, 31 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers. She led the NE10 in points, while ranking second in assists, sixth in goals, eighth in draw controls and 12th in ground balls. Hadden's 94 points and 45 assists are second on SNHU's single-season list.
The Penmen (7-10, 3-7 NE10) qualified for the NE10 Championship for a fourth consecutive season, but suffered a quarterfinal loss at ninth-ranked and top-seeded Pace University to end their season.
