MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University Women's Indoor Track & Field team was chosen second of 10 schools in the NE10 Coaches' Poll released on Friday. The Penmen received one first place vote and were picked a close second to Southern Connecticut State University.
Southern Connecticut received eight of the ten first-place votes and Saint Anselm College received the other top vote (coaches could not vote for their own team). The Owls received a total of 80 points, SNHU had 78, and Adelphi University was third with 64 points.
Under Head Coach
Lex Butler, SNHU won its first-ever Indoor Track & Field Championship in 2022-23.
The 2023-24 NE10 Indoor Championships take place Feb. 16-17 at the Track at New Balance in Boston.
The Indoor portion of the schedule starts tomorrow, Sat. December 2, at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at Boston University. The Penmen will also head to Dartmouth College for the December Invite next week (December 8/9).
