Penmen Open Indoor Track & Field Season at BU

Hurdlers Shine at Opener

Southern New Hampshire University opened the Indoor Track & Field season Saturday, sending several athletes to Boston University for the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
NOTES
  • Senior Emma Hallet (Billerica, Mass.) finished in seventh place in the 60H in 9.62 after qualifying for the finals with a 9.69.
  • Junior Tori Allen (Litchfield, N.H.) set a new PR in the 60H with a 9.89.
  • Sophomore Maggie McInerney (Acton, Mass.) also set a best time with a 9.94.
  • Allen, McInerney, and Hallet all tried the 600m for the first time Saturday.
  • Sophomore Hope Sinclair (Hampton, N.H.) ran 8.17 in the 60m, finishing 14th in her prelim in a competitive field.  She also ran the 300m in 44.02.
  • Freshman Madison Lyons (Manchester, Conn.) competed in her first meet in the long jump and 200m.
WHAT'S NEXT
  •  The Penmen will compete at the Dartmouth College December Invitational Friday and Saturday in Hanover, N.H.
