In the final tune-up before the Northeast-10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships, a number of SNHU athletes logged top performances at Saturday's Stonehill Skyhawk Invite.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- The Penmen turned in a couple of strong relays, winning the 4x400 in 4:04.59.
- Junior Ava Gravell (Windham, N.H.), junior Emma Hallet (Billerica, Mass.), freshman Maggie McInerney (Acton, Mass.) and freshman Hope Sinclair (Hampton, N.H.) ran the event.
- SNHU also finished third in the 4x100 with Gravell, Sinclair, McInerney and freshman Colleen McGurl (Billerica, Mass.).
- Gravell also turned in a new PR in the long jump, finishing second at 5.51m.
- Junior Hannah Bradbury (Seekonk, Mass.) ran a new PR for the 800m at 2:22.50.
- Hallet won the high jump at 1.55m.
- Junior Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.) set a season mark in the 1500m at 4:55.07, as did junior Riley McDermott (Kennebunkport, Maine) at 5:09.83.
- Freshman Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) set a new PR in the 1500m at 5:08.92.
- Sophomore Tori Allen (Litchfield, N.H.) ran a season-mark in the 100H as did junior Theresa Irving (Penacook, N.H.). Irving also recorded a season-best in the high jump at 1.50m.Â
- Allen also recorded a new PR in the javelin at 34.37m, finishing fourth in the event.
- Freshman Jia Anderson-Salo (Alstead, N.H.) tried the 5000m for the first time and established her mark at 21:30.64.
