SNHU competed for the first time this season at The TRACK at New Balance. Saturday's trip to the Suffolk University Ice Breaker served as a chance to compete against top regional programs.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- Sophomore Hope Sinclair (Hampton, N.H.) reached the finals in the 60-yard dash, finishing sixth in the finals while just .04 off her personal best (8.10).
- Senior Laila Bunnitt (Lewiston, Maine) was 12th in the weight throw (14.07m).
- Senior Emma Hallet (Billerica, Mass.) finished 11th in the 60 hurdles prelim in 9.71 and was SNHU's top performer in the high jump, finishing 12th.
- Sophomore Maggie McInerney (Acton, Mass.) ran a PR in the 60 hurdles at 9.82, finishing 12th.
- Senior Hannah Bradbury (Seekonk, Maine) and sophomore Anne Wiersma (Veldhoven, Netherlands) finished 9th and 10th in the 1000m, both running the event for the first time.
NOTES
- Many of SNHU's distance runners took part in a competitive mile race with senior Kelsey Seamans (Methuen, Mass.), sophomore Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.), senior Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.), and freshman Aveline McCabe (White Bear Lake Minn.) the top four finishers on the team.
- Seamans ran the mile in 5:21.64.
- There was no team scoring.
- The Northeast-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled to be held at the TRACK at New Balance February 16-17.
