Hope Sinclair (Hampton, N.H.) earned a pair of wins as SNHU Indoor Track & Field won the Panther Invitational I at Plymouth State University on Saturday.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- Sinclair won the 200m (27.23) and ran a leg of the winning DMR team on Saturday. She also finished third in the 60m (8.18).
- Sophomore Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.),  Sinclair, sophomore Anne Wiersma (Veldhoven, Netherlands), and senior  Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.) were also on the winning team.
- Obernesser won the 5000m race at 19:53.38. Sophomore Emily Charest (Methuen, Mass.) finished third in the race.
- O'Rourke won the 800m in 2:30.86 and Wiersma was third in the 600m (1:48.48).
- Sophomore Maggie McInerney (Acton, Mass.) won the 400m (1:00.25) and was a member of the SNHU DMR team that finished second.
- Senior Hannah Bradbury (Seekonk, Maine) also ran the DMR and finished fourth in the 400m (1:05.67).
- Senior Riley McDermott (Kennebunkport, Maine) and freshman Deirdre Bailat (Billerica, Mass.) ran legs on the 2nd place SNHU DMR relay team.
- Bailat picked up a win in the mile race (5:31.28) to earn 10 team points.
- The Penmen won the 4x4 relay with graduate student Anne Sikkema (Leeuwarden, Netherlands), freshman Madison Lyons (Manchester, Conn.), senior Emma Hallet (Billerica, Mass.), and senior Theresa Irving (Penacook, N.H.). The winning time was 4:36.49.
- Hallet won the high jump (1.55m) and was second in the 60 hurdles (9.59). Irving finished third in the high jump.
- Senior Laila Bunnitt (Lewiston, Maine) won the weight throw (13.90m) and was second in the shot put (11.68m).
- Sophomore Brooke Bibbo (Burlington, Mass.) turned in a seasons-best in the shot put (11.18m) while finishing fourth.
NOTES
- The Penmen won the Panther Invitational with 155 points. Saint Anselm College finished second (109) and Plymouth State was third (97).
WHAT'S NEXT
- The Penmen will compete next Saturday (1/27) at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic.
- The Northeast-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled to be held at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston February 16-17.
