SNHU Indoor Track & Field won three events and finished third Saturday at the Husky Invitational at the University of Southern Maine.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- Sophomore Hope Sinclair (Hampton, N.H.) won the 55 with a new PR of 7.54.
- Graduate student Anne Sikkema (Leeuwarden, Netherlands) was the winner of the 400m with a time of 1:04.95.
- Senior Kelsey Seamans (Methuen, Mass.) earned a victory in the 3000m with a time of 10:34.59.
- Freshman Deirdre Bailat (Billerica, Mass.) ran a new PR and finished third behind Seamans at 11:06.08. Freshman Aveline McCabe (White Bear Lake, Minn.) was next in with a new best of 11:20.90.
- Senior Hannah Bradbury (Seekonk, Mass.) finished second in the 800m at 2:27.46.
- Sophomore Anne Wiersma (Veldhoven, Netherlands) was third in the 800m with 2:31.30.
- Sophomore Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) was SNHU's top finisher in the mile race, finishing third with a 5:33.89.
- Senior Emma Hallet (Billerica, Mass.) ran a new PR, finishing third in the 55 hurdles with a time of 8.92.
- Senior Laila Bunnitt (Lewiston, Maine) had the third-best weight throw at 13.98m.
NOTES
- Southern Maine won the women's competition with 106 points, and Franklin Pierce University edged out the Penmen by a point for second-place.
WHAT'S NEXT
- The Penmen will head back to Plymouth State University next week for the Panther Invitational II. SNHU won the Panther Invitational I last Saturday.
- The Northeast-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships are scheduled to be held at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston February 16-17.
