MANSFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Justina Haver (Taipei, Taiwan) and freshman Lois Tsui (Amsterdam, Netherlands) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team were named to the NE10 All-Conference First Team at doubles, while graduate student Zuza Krygier (Poznan, Poland) earned a Second Team singles nod and Tsui captured a Third Team singles award, as the league office announced its end-of-the-season honors Thursday.
Haver and Tsui were selected for the First Team at No. 2 doubles after combining to go 13-2 so far this this season, including a perfect 8-0 in league play – all at No. 2. The duo advanced to the semifinals of the doubles bracket at the ITA East Regional Championship last month.
Tsui also collected an individual honor with a Third Team pick at No. 3 singles. She is 13-3 this year, including 6-2 in NE10 action at the third flight. Tsui made a run to the quarterfinals of the singles bracket at ITA regionals.
Krygier, who took home her Second Team spot at No. 4 singles, is 11-2 this season, including 7-1 in league play – all at the fourth flight.
The fourth-seeded Penmen (8-3, 5-3 NE10) claimed an NE10 Championship first round victory Wednesday and are back in action Friday (Oct. 18) at 1 p.m. when they travel to take on the top-seeded University of New Haven.
